Mental Health and Wellbeing

At Sandringham Primary School, we place great importance on promoting the emotional health and wellbeing of our pupils, staff, and families. We are proud to offer an inclusive and nurturing environment where every child feels safe, valued, and supported to thrive.

Our Senior Mental Health Lead (SMHL), Vicky Ward, works closely with Jessica Milnthorp, SENDCo to provide support for children, families, and staff. Together, they collaborate with external professionals and services to promote positive mental health and wellbeing across our school community.

We recognise that everyone faces challenges in life that can sometimes make us feel vulnerable, and that it’s okay to ask for help. At Sandringham, we believe that positive mental health is everyone’s responsibility — and that by working together, we can make a real difference.

Supporting each child’s mental health and wellbeing is an integral part of everything we do, every day. We are also here to provide guidance and support for parents and carers who may need advice or reassurance.

We are proud of our commitment to creating a mentally healthy school community and of our continued work with the Thrive Approach to embed emotional wellbeing in all aspects of school life.
