Swimming Standards

Year 6 children meeting National Curriculum requirements for swimming when they left Sandringham at the end of Summer term 2024:

• Percentage of Year 6 pupils who can swim competently, confidently and proficiently over a distance of at least 25 metres: 82%
• Percentage of Year 6 pupils who could use a range of strokes effectively (for example, front crawl, backstroke and breaststroke): 82% 
• Percentage of Year 6 pupils who could perform safe self-rescue in different water-based situations: 98%
