Reading Raffle

posted 10 Sept 2020, 08:11 by Lauren Tingle
Hello to parents/ carers,
I hope that you are all well and I am pleased to say that the children are continuing to settle in really well and we are having a great time being in our Flying Fish bubble.

Just a reminder that children should be trying to read their home reading book at least 3 times and week and this should be recorded in their home-school contact book.
Every Friday, I will be collecting in the home-school contact books and making a note of how many times the children have read their book each week. Children who have changed their book 3 times or more in that week will be given a reading raffle ticket which will be put in our 'Reading Jar'. At the end of each half term, I will be drawing the raffle and the child with the chosen ticket will win a prize. This raffle is to encourage the children to read at home with the ultimate aim of developing a love of reading and obviously the more they read, the more raffle tickets they will put in the jar and the more chance they have to win the prize.

I really appreciate your support with all home learning including reading and if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me via the class email address.

Thank you :)

Miss Tingle.
