The Last Week

posted 14 Jul 2020, 11:25 by Melanie Cokeham

Hi Everyone,

How are you doing?
It seems very strange to be saying it is the last week of the school year. I am sorry about all the things we have missed together this year and all the end of primary school experiences that you haven't managed to enjoy to the full.
We have tried to plan some nice celebrations for your end of time at Sandringham Primary School and we hope that they will be new memories that can last a life time.

1. Sandringham Year Book - Please make sure you have completed your page and returned it to the account by Wednesday 15th July at 6pm.  We will then email a copy out to you all on Friday.
2. Leavers Virtual Assembly - Please make sure grown ups have sent contact details by Wednesday 15th July at 6pm.  So that instructions and invites can be sent out to you. We would love to see lots of you there.
3. A few special things from us.

3 more days to go!

Sandringham's Got Talent

posted 13 Jul 2020, 10:42 by Louise Sutton

I've been smiling from ear to ear all day today, as more and more entries have come through for our Sandringham's Got Talent. I've even had entries from some children who sit really quiet in our performing arts lessons!! It's been lovely to see the confidence...maybe we should do more things virtually, as its been so lovely to find some hidden talents, that I didn't know many of you had! I am already excited about being able to teach you again, and see how much you've grown, and developed and really looking forward to helping you ooze in confidence, once we can start our performing arts lessons again.

So if you haven't already it's not too late to send your entry in - I've had singing, dancing, instrumental playing and even some music skills related 'work' - keep sending them in, you have until 12pm on Wednesday, then look out on the blog for the winners, who will get certificates and a prize!

Dance and Music Festival

posted 9 Jul 2020, 05:56 by Louise Sutton

Last week I posted about Sandringham's Got Talent - virtual talent show and have asked you to send in your entries by video. Well today I have received a flyer about the trust holding a virtual arts festival wanting to celebrate the talent we have not just at Sandringham but also across the trust so my challenge to you is how many entries can we submit as a school? I've already a few from Y6, some from Y2 and a couple from Y4 so I'm really excited just to see how much hidden talent we really have at Sandringham! Remember to email your entries to or share then with the Trust@ExceedLP

Leavers Assembly with a difference

posted 7 Jul 2020, 15:55 by Melanie Cokeham

We have been working hard to put some plans in place in line with CoVid 19 restrictions to allow Year 6 pupils to celebrate leaving Sandringham Primary School. It is rather different from what we had planned for the end of the year but we want to be able to celebrate all pupils’ effort and hard work during their time at Sandringham.

We would like to host a virtual leaver’s assembly using Microsoft Teams on Friday 17th July at 10.30am. If you would like to attend the meeting please reply to this email by Monday 13th July and an invitation for a practice session (Thursday 16th July at 10.30am) and then the assembly will be sent to you.

For those children in school, they will be part of the assembly and visible on Microsoft Teams between the bubble groups in school and also with those at home. If you would not like your child to be part of the video conference then please email the school office or

This will consist of pupils receiving their end of year certificates and awards (which will be posted out to children not in school), as well as sharing and celebrating their most memorable memoires of their time at Sandringham.

We really hope you can all join us. We would love to see you and say goodbye even if it is just on a screen.

Tasks ready for the end of year

posted 7 Jul 2020, 15:52 by Melanie Cokeham   [ updated 7 Jul 2020, 15:53 ]

Hi All

Mr Campbell and I have been bust planning new end of year activities for you. We are sorry it is not what we had planned for you, but hopefully we will still make it special for you all.

Here are some activities that we would really like your help with so we can complete some end of year tasks for you.

-        Complete a page for the Year Book - A template is provided with this letter to support pupils in completing a page that can be included in the Year Book, which will be sent to all pupils in Year 6 as a keepsake. By returning the completed page, you are giving permission for your child’s page to be included and for it to be shared with other members of the year group. Please complete and return the page by Monday 13th July.

-        Send in a first day of school photo – We would love to create a collage of pictures using first day of school photos and we have lots of them from during Year 6 that we can use. If you would like a picture to be included please email to by Monday 13th July.

-        Talent Show entry - We will be holding a talent show in school on the last day of term and we are inviting children still at home to send in their talent show entry from home. Judging will take place on the Friday afternoon, winners will be posted on the year group blog and then any prizes for those at home will be sent home in the post. We hope you will have a go and send in your entry via email to by Thursday 16th July.

We look forward to getting your emails.
Thank you to those who have already sent them in.

Performing Arts: Sandringham's Got Talent

posted 2 Jul 2020, 12:43 by Louise Sutton

Hello everyone,

Miss Galloway and I have been doing some virtual singing with the Year 6 children today, so it got us thinking about your performing arts task over the next two weeks. It was so great just to sing, to Mr Campbell playing his guitar so we wondered whether we should have a talent show. Over the next two weeks we challenge you to think about what your act would be for Sandringham's Got Talent.

Practise it, video it and then send it in to

We will then judge your acts and hopefully we will have a KS1 winner, LKS2 winner, and an UKS2 winner!

The closing date for your entry will be Wednesday 15th July at 12 noon.

Have fun, we can't wait to see what you come up with!

 Mrs Sutton & Miss Galloway.
