Monday morning check in

Good morning everyone! I hope you all had a lovely weekend! This week is a special one, as on Friday many people will be celebrating the 75th anniversary of VE day. Although there will be no street parties this year, there are still many ways you can celebrate the anniversary of VE day from your home by decorating your houses, joining a virtual street party or by simply taking part in the two minute silence on Friday at 11 am.
If you would like to learn some more about information about VE day, there is a great video that describes what VE day is, why it is celebrated and some details about the first VE day given by people who were actually there: https://www.bbc.co.uk/teach/class-clips-video/history-ks2-ve-day/z7xtmfr
I have also attached some other files in case any of you wanted to draw your own VE day pictures, write a VE day poem or complete a VE day crossword.
Take care everyone!
Mr Ellis.
