The fight against racism- Historical figures

posted 2 Jun 2020, 06:34 by Lauren Watts
Good afternoon Year 2,

If you are looking for a way to discuss equality and diversity with your children in light of the recent events in America, please take a look at these useful links. They are from BBC Primary History and look at the stories of influential black people who helped changed the course of history in their fight against racism. These videos are designed especially for primary aged children and are used regularly when discussing important historical figures.

Rosa Parks, Harriet Tubman, Nelson Mandela and Dr Martin Luther King.

Thank you for your support on such an important issue.

Keep safe,
Mrs Watts
