Thumbs-Up Thursday

Good Morning!
I hope you are all continuing to keep well. It looks as if the sun might just make an appearance today!
I hope enjoyed the Nursery rhymes yesterday. Today I have given you a quick link to making an obstacle course with your child, from Tiny Happy People.

There are loads of other ideas for 3-4 and 4-5 year old children too. Younger siblings can enjoy games and songs too! Take a peek! This is probably my latest favourite website!
Have fun today,
Good health and best wishes,
Mrs Faulkner

Good morning everyone!

I hope you are all feeling well. Bit of a grey day today. I have found something to cheer you up. Did you see Kate,  Duchess of Cambridge ,promote the BBC's new website called , Tiny Happy People, yesterday? There are some lovely ideas for working with children up to four years old. Here is a link.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/tiny-happy-people

I really liked the Nursery rhymes, https://www.bbc.co.uk/tiny-happy-people/nursery-rhymes-and-songs-collection

Here's The Grand Old Duke of York, to get you started.  https://www.bbc.co.uk/tiny-happy-people/grand-old-duke-of-york-bbc-philharmonic/zmsyxbk

Grab a saucepan and a wooden spoon and off you go!

Have fun!

Good health and best wishes,

Mrs Faulkner

Terrific Tuesday

Good Morning!
I hope you are all keeping well. The last Tuesday, I hear you say. How can it be?
I was reading the Yorkshire Post this weekend and found this article on play and thought you might find it interesting. It was taken from the NSPCC. This article is designed for playing with a baby/young child, but I thought they looked such fun that most of your children and younger brothers and sisters would enjoy them too! Check out coping with tantrums and dip into other items while you are there.
I hope you have a great day.
Good health and best wishes,
Mrs Faulkner

The Last Marvellous Monday this Year!

posted 13 Jul 2020, 02:05 by Sally Faulkner

Good Morning!
I hope you have had a lovely weekend. Wasn't it great to see the sun again? I hope you are all keeping well today in this the last week of term.
This week's planning is called All About Me. Last year the children made a book to show their favourite things, this year for your child's new teacher school would like you to upload pictures into Tapestry.
Details for doing this are on the planning. Should you have any difficulties please contact school.
In the planning I have given you ideas for some of the things your child may do that you could include to show their new teacher. A good guide is that if they are enjoying an activity it would make a good observation/picture to include.
Here is a quick link.

I hope you have fun catching all the marvellous moments this week.
Good health and best wishes,
Mrs Faulkner

Fantastic Friday

Hi everybody!
I hope you are all keeping well. Another week over, one more to go! I feel a little sad that we have got to this time and that I haven't seen your child for ages! I have missed them. They're good company and they make me laugh. We've had some fun together and lots of good memories to keep.
I hope you are going to have a good day. There is some thing blue and something bright above us today. Any ideas what they could be? I really should know what they are! Let's hope that summer is on the return.
Any way it's Friday, there's always pizza, film and popcorn. Bring it on!
Have a lovely weekend and see you back here on Monday for the last week of school this year.
Good health and best wishes,
Mrs Faulkner

Good Morning!
Nice day for ducks! I hope you are keeping well and that you are wrapped up well against this cold and wet July! I've put the salad away. It's cottage pie for tea today!
I can't believe that after today we have six working days until the official summer holiday! Where has this year gone?
It's been lovely to talk to you again this week. Thank you for going online and registering at Tapestry. Its been great to see that some of you have started to post pictures for you child's new teacher.
Here's the link to this information if you've still to go online.

Next week we are having a virtual dance and musical festival. If your child would like to share their talent, please upload your video to the school email.
Here are the details.

I hope you all have a good day.
Stay warm, keep dry and if all else fails, eat rice pudding!
Good health and best wishes,
Mrs Faulkner

Wonderful, if just a little wet, Wednesday!

Good morning everyone,
I hope you are all continuing to keep well. It was lovely to speak to so many of you yesterday and share how pleased we are with your child. Haven't they grown up this year? Aren't they clever?
It seems ridiculous that I have planned seaside for this week's planning,  looking at our current British Summer Weather !  However, we are used to it. If you would like to have a taste of summer dip into the planning for this week. For those of you hibernating under blankets to keep out the cold here is a link to some holiday stories.

I hope you have a good day,
Good health and best wishes,
Mrs Faulkner

Terrific Tuesday

Good Morning!
How nice it is to see the sun out this morning, though I think we probably need to make the most of it as it's forecast to rain later. I hope you are all keeping well today. Today I shall be continuing to call you at home. I am looking forward to catching up with you later, either today or some time this week.
Here is a quick link to the most recent letter concerning arrangements for September

I hope you have managed to follow the links to set up your account on Tapestry. Your child's new teacher is looking  forward to seeing your entries.
Here is the link to that page which includes information on starting school and moving into Reception.

I hope you have a good day,
Good health and best wishes,
Mrs Faulkner

Marvellous Monday!

Good morning!
Welcome back to week 6! I hope you are all keeping well and that you have had a lovely weekend. Do you feel fitter after last weeks sports?
I have had a lovely weekend celebrating my daughter's wedding. After so may weeks of lock-down it was strange to see so many people socially distanced and to be able to go into church was amazing too.
This week we are going to the seaside for our learning. I don't know whether you have made plans to go away for few days this holiday but this week's activities should get you in the holiday mood!
Bring on the sunshine!
Have a great day,
Good health and best wishes,
Mrs Faulkner

Fantastic Friday!

Good  morning!
Well done everyone for making it to the end of yet another week of home learning. A big well done for all the Nursery children who have returned to school this week. The staff in school have been very pleased with you all. Two more weeks to go!
Well, despite the weather it's hard not to have that Friday feeling. Maybe it's because my daughter is getting married tomorrow after a three month postponement! Whilst we are unable to have the full wedding that we originally planned we are delighted to be celebrating this at last with a small group of friends and close family. Today I'm catering for a  small picnic, just for family as we are not encouraged to share food etc with others to prevent the spread of the virus. Never mind, I shall enjoy baking for this special day and I will enjoy eating it tomorrow!
Whatever your plans are for today please take care.
Have a good weekend and I will see you back here on Monday.
Good health and best wishes,
Mrs Faulkner
